Hamad Al Ammari
Hamad Al Ammari is a Saudi Arabian expert in economic and geopolitical affairs. He recently published a book on the Saudi economy beyond oil, Vision 2030, and has given many presentations and lectures on this matter.
Before this, Hamad was the Deputy Governor at the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), responsible for overseeing the provisioning of all back-office operations of SAGIA and the Vision 2030 realization team.
Having held a variety of executive management roles and leadership positions in the private and public sector, he has significant experience in matters related to strategic planning, management, leadership, marketing, business development, and media relations.
Always aiming to maximize shareholder value and leave behind a legacy of successful and sustainable business foundations, he developed an exceptional network of leading multinational and multicultural experts in different fields throughout his professional life, being recognized as a successful entrepreneur and businessman with commitments to several philanthropic and commercial organizations. He focuses on collaborative team building, ensuring a smooth flow of work, and regularly enhancing and updating databases and assessment processes.
He also has extensive experience and a proven track record in the non-governmental and not-for-profit sectors. For eleven years he has been the Conference Director, Deputy Secretary-General, and advisory member of FIKR Conferences, an integral part of the leading regional institution, the Arab Thought Foundation (ATF).
He graduated in Industrial Management with a specialization in Operations Management and Marketing at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He also attended IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland, and completed the Managing Corporate Resources Program and Breakthrough Program for Senior Executives.
In addition, he has participated in several executive training and education programs run by Harvard Business School, Harvard Kennedy School, Georgetown University, and London Business School focusing mainly on leadership, management, Strategy, not-for-profit, and/or Arab region-related issues. His Capstone Project for Non-Profit Management Executive Certification Program at Georgetown University was writing a Strategic Plan for Arab Thought Foundation. In May 2020, Hamad completed a 10-week program with Harvard Kennedy School – Executive Education in Leading Economic Growth.
